Tommy Covert - April 25, 1951 - Dec. 14, 2015 EDMOND Tommy Allen 'Tom' Covert was born April 25, 1951, in Vallejo, CA, the son of Tom Hollis and Ann Mae (McAden) Covert. He completed this life on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at his home in Edmond, OK. Tom graduated with a bachelor's degree in science from Southern Nazarene University on Aug. 15, 1996. He worked for 23 years for United Parcel Service as a Human Resource Manager and later as a Loss Prevention Manager. Tom was currently employed at Lucky Star Casino in Concho, OK as a Black Jack Dealer. He was also a member of the N.R.A.. Tom was an accomplished artist, fisherman, prolific storyteller, woodworker and gardener. He was a big history buff, and he loved his family above everything else. He married the love of his life, Sheila Marie Sarsycki, March 11, 1983, in Oklahoma City, and they shared a wonderful life together for 32 years. Tom is survived by his wife, Sheila; daughter, Sarah M. Quigley, who currently resides in Cabo, Mexico; and cousins who adored him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Jo Ellen Covert. There will be a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, in the Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations to go to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Diabetes Research, 825 NE 13, Oklahoma City, OK 73104 (www.omrf.org)
