Judy (Chadwell) Lay Nov. 9, 1950 - Oct. 28, 2013 CHOCTAW Judy Sue Lay, 62, passed from this life on October 28, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born November 9, 1950 in Westville, OK to parents Harvey and Mary Elva Chadwell. Judy graduated from Capitol Hill High School and worked for the FAA for over 25 years until she retired. Judy married the love of her life, David, on June 7, 1991. After they married she moved in with David in Choctaw where she loved to express her passion for gardening across their acreage. Judy loved to travel, whether it was their trip to Europe in 2000 or a spontaneous weekend outing. Above all else, Judy loved her family and was so proud of each one of them. Judy is survived by her husband David Lay; sons, Mark Cobb and wife Kimberly, Zachary Smith and wife Keri; daughter, Angelia Cobb; grandchildren, Jay Bufkin, Lauren Cobb, and Zade Smith; siblings, Harvey G. Chadwell, Michael L. Chadwell and wife Karen, Elzene Dyer and husband Bob, Janell Brown and husband James, Twila Howard and husband Floyd; many other extended family members, and a lifetime of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Cecil D., Wenzell L., and Marilyn B. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013, at Olive Hill Cemetery, 10501 N. Rockwell, Oklahoma City. The family would also like to invite everyone to a Memorial Gathering at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the family's home, where everyone can enjoy and share in Judy's gardens.
