On Monday, October 5, 2026, Craig Alan Snyder spent the day tending to the front yard he had devoted a lifetime to beautifying. As the sun began to set, he sat on the front porch of the home he had cherished for more than 40 years, taking in the fruits of his labor and enjoying the quiet satisfaction of a job well done. It was there, at the home where he had built so much of his life, that Craig, a beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 75.
Craig was born on October 18, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK to Donald H Snyder and Hazel (Robertson) Snyder. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1969, and remained an active and dedicated alumnus throughout his life, maintaining a lasting connection to his alma mater until his passing.
After attending Oklahoma Christian University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Craig chose to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, forging his own path in business. He went on to establish several businesses, including Magic Carpet, Tubular Protection Services, Personal Care Interiors, and Cornerstone Management Services. Through his ventures, Craig created jobs and opportunities for many people, including friends and family, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those who had the opportunity to work alongside him.
On September 13, 1975, Craig married Debra Kay Snyder, the girl next door who would become the love of his life. Together, they built a life filled with love and raised two children, their son, Gary Don Snyder, and their daughter, Sarah Bliss Snyder.
Craig had a passion for the outdoors, beautifying his home, and interior design. He was fascinated by maps, geography, and learning about the world around him, always eager to explore new places and ideas. A man of many interests and talents, Craig also loved writing songs and playing the piano, with a natural musical inclination. He loved cars, spending evenings with friends at the local coffee shop where he was a familiar and beloved face, and bringing laughter to those around him with his humor and quick wit.
Above all, Craig had a generous spirit and a heart for service. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to tackling home improvement and organizational projects for friends and loved ones. Whether sharing his talents, pursuing his many interests, or lending a hand to someone in need, Craig brought his own unique and inventive spirit to everything he did.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Hazel, and his son, Gary. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra; his daughter, Sarah; his sisters, Hugh Ann Snyder and Jan Phillips; his niece, Joslyn Culver, and her daughters, Jordan Yozwiak and Maddie Yozwiak; his grandson, Jerrad Snyder; and his three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Paisley, and Wyatt Snyder. Craig’s memory and spirit will live on through the family he loved and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral and Cremation, located at 400 SE 19th Street in Moore, Oklahoma. A funeral service will follow immediately at noon. Family and friends are warmly invited to share their favorite memories, stories, and anecdotes about Craig as we celebrate his life and the many ways he touched those around him.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Craig’s generous spirit by making a donation to the charitable organization of your choice.
