Donald (Don) Kirk Perdue, 74, of Oktaha, Ok. passed peacefully on Tuesday June 24, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 3, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Mary Kathleen Perdue (Grigsby) and Donald Walter Perdue. Don lived in Kansas City, Missouri for a few years, however he grew up mostly in Oklahoma City where he graduated from Capital Hill High. Don was very talented and participated in every sport he could, however basketball and football were his favorites. After high school he attended a couple of years of college. He then worked as a mechanic for the school in Dale, Oklahoma.
Don moved to Muskogee and purchased the only skating rink in Muskogee. Skating was a big fad at this time and Don enjoyed 20 years of success, influencing and helping lots of young people. He was very active in the community, and everyone was always coming up to Don and introducing themselves to him as an adult and they would share their great memories of growing up and going to the skating rink.
He also worked for Mack Whitaker where he was the foreman for the housing construction business, which gave him the opportunity to learn the many different trades in the construction business. Mack was supportive and encouraged Don in difficult times. He later began his own Home Improvement business that included building houses, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Don was such a quick learner he could work on any project with detail.
Don had a servant’s heart and was an active member of Boulevard Christian Church participating in many different activities. For several years he drove the church bus picking up kids to take them to church on Sunday morning. He loves sports of any kind and was a loyal fan of OU football and Oklahoma City Thunder. Don loved to cook, even after a long day working construction he would come home and cook because he felt it was relaxing. His favorite things to cook were smoked brisket and hot links, however there was nothing that he could not cook. Don was a loving man, and a kind friend, husband and father.
Preceding Don in death were his parents Mary and Donald. He is survived by his wife Debbie Perdue; children, Donald Kirk Perdue Jr. (Nicole), Donna Kay Perdue, Haley Nicole Fuller (Hayden, Aizlynn, Presley), Olivia Fulton (Rachel and Reba), and Brittany Fulton, grandchild, Maggie French Lowe and numerous family members and friends.
