Larry Glenn Cotton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 73.
Born on June 8, 1951, Larry came into this world with a “lead foot,†a trait he proudly inherited from his mother—a family hallmark. His strong will and determination carried through in every aspect of his life. Larry dedicated over 30 years to AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell), where his work ethic and loyalty earned him the respect of colleagues and friends.
Outside of work, Larry was a man of many interests. He spent years coaching softball, sharing his love of the game and teaching life lessons along the way.
Larry found joy in the simple things—cruising around town, driving by familiar houses, and enjoying evenings at Louie’s listening to music. Golf was another activity he enjoyed, a game that brought him joy and camaraderie over the years.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Judy; daughters, M’Kayla Nance and her husband, TJ, and Kassidy Cotton; and his beloved grandchildren, Carson and Elle Nance. He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne Cotton I and wife Linda, Jack Cotton II and wife Vicki; his sister Betty Phelps and husband Travis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Jack Cotton I, and his nephew, DeWayne Cotton.
Larry’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. In honor of his love for simplicity and comfort, and the fact that he never left the house without wearing his ballcap, attendees are encouraged to come as they are, wearing casual attire. If you can, wear blue, his favorite color, as a tribute to his vibrant spirit.
Larry’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, wisdom, and love will never be forgotten.

Larry Glenn Cotton, 50% perfection, 50% ornery…100% Cotton.
