Gerald “Wayne” Dockery, 71, of Harrah, formerly of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date, cremation has been affected.
Wayne was born April 15, 1950, in Oklahoma City, to James and Joyce (Rhea) Dockery. He was raised and educated in south Oklahoma City, graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1969. Wayne worked a wide range of occupations for various employers throughout his life. Wayne was an avid collector of knives of all types, he also enjoyed giving them as gifts to friends and family, he enjoyed golf, fishing, music and watching movies and according to family could be a little on the onery side.
Survivors include his daughter Shere and husband Robert Muniz of Harrah; brother Gary Dockery of Hugo; sister Jannette Hulsey of Newcastle; and two grandchildren Mason Brown and Peighton Muniz; and several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends from the 'Blues Bar and Grill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Davis, and a brother Joseph Edward “Eddie” Dockery.
