Gary Nard Obituary Longtime Oklahoma City resident, Gary Lee Nard, 68, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Gary was born March 3, 1951 in Oklahoma City to Eugene and Wanda Nard. He graduated Capital Hill High School in 1969. From there , he went to work at Wilson's foods for 23 years until its closing in 1992. Gary got his electrical license and joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 1141 where he was a traveling electrician for many years before taking a job as an Electrical inspector at Tinker Air Force Base where he worked until his retirement. Gary had a huge heart and with that, came many loves and hobbies. Hotrods, including his '69 Camaro Z28 or his '69 Chevy stepside truck that he had over the years, and fishing, but his main love other than his family, was golf. He loved golf and played just about every Saturday and Sunday morning at Trosper golf club with the same group of guys for over 30 years. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Eugene and Wanda Nard. His memory will live on with his wife of 35 years, Darla; daughter, Shelly; and sons, David, Gary Jr., and Justin; grandchildren, Emma, Memphis, Saylor, and Xander. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, October 14, 2019 at John Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, 120 S. Broadway Ave, Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
